Wufr ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Wufr mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Information you provide:
- Account information: Phone number, display name, email address (optional), and profile photo.
- Dog profiles: Dog name, breed, age, size, energy level, photos, and personality quiz responses.
- User-generated content: Park reviews, messages, session details, and photos you upload.
- Location data: Home location (for finding nearby parks) and GPS coordinates during park visits (if you grant permission).
Information collected automatically:
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Features used, pages viewed, and interaction patterns.
- Push notification tokens: Used solely to deliver notifications you've opted into.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and services.
- Match you with compatible dog owners and play dates based on your dog's profile.
- Show nearby parks, weather conditions, and community activity.
- Send push notifications about sessions, messages, and weather suggestions (with your consent).
- Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Respond to your support requests.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your display name, profile photo, dog profiles, park reviews, and session participation are visible to other App users based on your visibility settings.
- Service providers: We use third-party services for SMS verification (Twilio), push notifications (Apple APNs), and cloud storage (DigitalOcean Spaces) that process data on our behalf.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Wufr, our users, or the public.
4. Location Data
Location data is central to the App's functionality. Your home location is used to find nearby parks and is never shown to other users. GPS coordinates during park visits are used for real-time features (who's at the park) and crossed-paths detection. You can control location sharing through your device's settings and the App's visibility controls.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Anonymized or aggregated data (such as park busyness statistics) may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and portability: You can view your data in the App at any time.
- Correction: You can edit your profile, dog profiles, and settings at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete your account from the App's settings. This permanently removes your data.
- Push notifications: You can opt out of any notification category in the App's settings or disable notifications in your device settings.
- Location: You can revoke location access in your device settings at any time.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
